Dark Souls II

==Gameplay== Similar to the previous title, players customize the gender and physical features of their character in addition to choosing a starting class, which determine the stats and equipment that the player begins with, and a starting gift. From a third-person perspective, players explore a continuous, open world that is roughly the same size as the original game, but with more freedom in how the player can progress. Akin to the notorious difficulty of its predecessor, players are confronted by a persistently hostile environment with unrelenting enemies and bosses – death is a central theme. As enemies are defeated, souls are accumulated, acting as both a currency and means to increase attributes. Similar to its predecessor, its story telling is told through detailed item descriptions and NPC interaction. One major difference in difficulty is enemies are not eternal. After enemies are defeated a set number of times within a players game, they disappear, allowing players to eventually advance through trial and error. Multiplayer again features heavily in Dark Souls 2. In addition to the previous uses of multiplayer, where up to 2 players can join a third to proceed through the game up to defeating a boss, several other options have been added. Players can join other multiplayer games in human form, and players who want to participate in multiplayer PVP can also leave dark spirit summoning signs as a form of honorable combat. Specific areas also allow for sparring, with neither player being penalized for a defeat. Several areas, mostly for covenants, also include being summoned as a "gray spirit" to defend or invade the specific region for specific rewards and progression within the covenant. For example, the player can join the Bellringer covenant, to defend the in-game region of Luna Belfry. Part of the equipment for joining the covenant is a ring that will automatically summon the player to defend the bell from other players if they are in a region near the bell.
