The Witcher 2

==Gameplay== |Geralt standing in the town square of Flotsam] The gameplay of The Witcher 2 on the PC takes a marked departure from that of its predecessor as movement is solely through the keyboard and combat moves from the rhythmic mini-game style of the original game to a more fast paced style. The left mouse button is used for fast but weak attacks and the right mouse button for slower but more damaging ones. The abilities to lay traps and to aim and throw ranged weapons were added to the combat system. Geralt also has an improved offensive and defensive arsenal, with a wide range of melee and ranged weapons, armor, bombs, traps and secondary weapons such as hatchets and shovels. Upgrades are divided into four distinct paths: Training, which includes generalized upgrades for various abilities and must be invested in before the others can be started; Swordsmanship, which improves Geralt's sword fighting abilities; Alchemy, which includes perks such as reducing the negative effects of potions; and Magic, which improves Witcher Signs. The Witcher 2 also sees the inclusion of a stealth mode in certain parts of the game, where the player must remain undetected as they make their way to a certain objective. Players have the option of stunning enemies if Geralt manages to get behind them, but the player may choose to take a less subtle approach and simply engage the guards in combat. Several new minigames were introduced including fist fighting, arm wrestling and a modified version of dice poker.

Watch Dogs

==Gameplay== Watch Dogs is an [open world] [Action-adventure game|action-adventure] [video game] in which players control an Irish-American vigilante named Aiden Pearce (voiced by -[Noam Jenkins),who can hack into various electronic devices tied to the city's central operating system (CtOS), allowing various methods for the player to solve numerous objectives.Examples include hacking into people's phones to retrieve bank data and steal funds, triggering malfunctions in equipment to distract other characters and hacking into traffic lights to cause collisions. Players can also receive information on civilians via augmented reality feeds, providing the player with information on demographics, health, and potential behavior. Objectives showcased in presentations include finding specific targets to kill, evading the police and following potential victims in order to stop their would-be killers. Combat utilizes a combination of stealth components and parkour, along with the mechanics of a cover-based third-person shooter. ===Multiplayer=== The game features an asynchronous multiplayer element. The "multiplayer" experience is a one-on-one interaction between two human characters in which one player seamlessly and secretly joins the single player experience of another player. The first player (which entered the other player's world) is tasked with finding the second player (which is initially unaware that another human is in their game session - no notification is given to the second player). Once the first player finds the second player the objective is updated. The first player's new objective involves installing a back door virus into the second player's smartphone, then hiding while that virus siphons off a portion of the data the second player has collected. This stolen information increases the first player's power once they return to their own single player session. The second player must stay within a certain radius of the first player for the download to progress. Once the download is initiated, the second player is alerted that they have been hacked and that data is being stolen from their smartphone. Once the second player has been alerted of the intrusion their objective is to locate the first player who is stealing their data, and either kill the first player or cause them to flee to such a distance that the download is halted (a certain minimum distance must be maintained for the download to progress). It was recently confirmed that an online free roam mode will be featured in the game.

Dying Light "Run Boy Run"

t

==Gameplay== Dying Light is a zombie apocalypse-themed game set in an open world similar to South American slums and cities. During the day, players traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population with a heavy focus on freerunning mechanics. Players also can customize the four characters in the game. Dying Light contains a dynamic day and night cycle. During the day, the player has to go out and scavenge for supplies to send back to the safe zones. They can also set up traps, save random survivors, and make their way to airdrops. The infected are slow, allowing the player to simply make their way past them, but their danger grows in numbers. Luckily, the player could stay up on roofs of buildings to stay out of harm's way. Four player online multi-player has been announced along with the confirmation that there will be split-screen cooperative function according to the developer's twitter page. It has also been confirmed that there will be a pre-order exclusive gamemode that will allow the player to play as a zombie and join other players' worlds. When the sun goes down in Dying Light, the infected transform into something much more dangerous. They gain the ability to sprint after the player, and have increased damage, as well as the ability to jump and climb buildings like the player. In order for the player to avoid contact, they need to use their Night Sense to locate zombies in the dark to stay out of their way. If spotted and trying to escape their pursuers, the player can use distractions and traps to lower their numbers. Players can use sound to lure the zombies by screaming into their headsets or by the sound being heard on Ps4's/Xbox One's microphone in the camera. But when the night comes, so does the Night Hunter or "Volatile", which is a rare special type of infected that only comes out at night. If spotted by this infected, escape is almost impossible. In order to escape them, the player will need to use tactics, distractions, and their Night Sense to survive until the morning's first light. Two other types of infected include the Toad, a bloated zombie that spits acid at the player, and a large, strong zombie, that is similar to the Left 4 Dead series's "Tank" and Dead Islands
"Thug and Ram".

Thief 101

Tomb Raider Definitive Edition

Tomb Raider is a 2013 action-adventure video game published by Square Enix. Tomb Raider is the fifth title developed by Crystal Dynamics in the Tomb Raider franchise. As the first entry in a new Tomb Raider continuity, the game is a that emphasises the reconstructed origins of the [Popular culture|culturally] influential lead character Lara Croft.Tomb Raider was released on 5 March 2013 for Microsoft Windows, 3 and Xbox 360, and on 23 January 2014 for Mac OS X. Crystal Dynamics began development of Tomb Raider soon after the release of Tomb Raider: Underworld in 2008. Rather than a sequel, the team decided to completely reboot the series, establishing the origins of Lara Croft for the second time, following Tomb Raider: Legend. Tomb Raider is set on Yamatai, an island from which Lara Croft must save her friends and escape while being hunted down by a malevolent cult. Gameplay elements focus more on survival, although exploration is used within the game when exploring the island and various optional tombs. It is also the first game in the series to have multiplayer and the first game to be published by Square Enix, after the latter's acquisition of Eidos Interactive in 2009. Camilla Luddington was announced to voice and perform as Lara Croft in 2010, replacing Keeley Hawes. After a delayed release from late 2012 to March 2013, Tomb Raider received much anticipation and hype.Upon release, the game received critical acclaim, with critics praising the graphics, the gameplay, Luddington's performance as Lara, and Lara's characterization and development, although the addition of the multiplayer mode was criticised. Tomb Raider sold one million copies within 48 hours of its release, and has sold nearly 6 million copies as of 6 March 2014. An updated version, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, was released in North America on 28 January 2014 and in Europe on 31 January 2014 for 4 and Xbox One containing all features and DLC. == Gameplay == Tomb Raider is presented in third-person perspective, and the player takes control of the lead character, Lara Croft. The game uses an interconnected hub-and-spoke model that combines action-adventure, exploration, and survival mechanics.Lara can traverse between the camps and across the island using footpaths, improvised or already-available ziplines and climbable tracks. Many of Lara's moves are carried over from the previous games created by Crystal Dynamics, with some tweaks added, such as incorporating elements of stealth gameplay. Quick Time Events are scattered at regular intervals throughout the game, often appearing at crucial or fast-moving points in the game's plot, such as two early ones where Lara has to extract a shard of metal from her side, then later escape a collapsing cave. The combat of the game borrows multiple elements from the Uncharted series, with the player having the ability to free-aim Lara's bow and the guns she salvages, engage in close-quarter combat and perform stealth kills.Added to Lara's abilities is Survival Instinct, a mode where enemies, collectables and objects pivotal to environmental puzzles will be highlighted for the player. The game also incorporates RPG elements: as the player progresses through the game, they earn experience points from performing certain actions and completing in-game challenges linked with hunting, exploring and combat: this enables Lara Croft's skills and abilities to be upgraded in specific ways, such as giving her more storage capacity for arrows and ammunition. Players can also upgrade and customize weapons using salvage collected across the island. There is also a character progression mechanic in the game: better items, weapons and equipment is gained as the player progresses, though the appearance of most of these items is closely linked to events in the story. Karl Stewart said that the game's campaign lasts between 12 and 15 hours. Along with the main story, players will have the chance to do multiple side quests, explore the island, revisit locations, and search for challenge tombs. === Multiplayer === Tomb Raider also includes an option for players to compete with each other in several multiplayer maps, a first for the series. In each multiplayer match, there are two enemy teams: four survivors and four scavengers, and there are three types of games for multiplayer to compete in, played in five different maps: the modes are Team Deathmatch, Private Rescue and Cry for Help. The first mode is a simple PvP combat scenario, with teams pitted against each other, and the winning team being the one to kill of the opposing team in three separate matches. In the second mode, the "survivors" team must take medical supplies to a specific point on the map, while the "scavengers" must reach a certain number of kills, both within a ten-minute time limit. The third mode, Cry for Help, involves the "survivors" exploring the maps and retrieving batteries for defended radio beacons while being hunted by the "scavengers".Across all three modes, weapons and destroyable environments from the single-player campaign are carried over.

Dark Souls II

==Gameplay== Similar to the previous title, players customize the gender and physical features of their character in addition to choosing a starting class, which determine the stats and equipment that the player begins with, and a starting gift. From a third-person perspective, players explore a continuous, open world that is roughly the same size as the original game, but with more freedom in how the player can progress. Akin to the notorious difficulty of its predecessor, players are confronted by a persistently hostile environment with unrelenting enemies and bosses – death is a central theme. As enemies are defeated, souls are accumulated, acting as both a currency and means to increase attributes. Similar to its predecessor, its story telling is told through detailed item descriptions and NPC interaction. One major difference in difficulty is enemies are not eternal. After enemies are defeated a set number of times within a players game, they disappear, allowing players to eventually advance through trial and error. Multiplayer again features heavily in Dark Souls 2. In addition to the previous uses of multiplayer, where up to 2 players can join a third to proceed through the game up to defeating a boss, several other options have been added. Players can join other multiplayer games in human form, and players who want to participate in multiplayer PVP can also leave dark spirit summoning signs as a form of honorable combat. Specific areas also allow for sparring, with neither player being penalized for a defeat. Several areas, mostly for covenants, also include being summoned as a "gray spirit" to defend or invade the specific region for specific rewards and progression within the covenant. For example, the player can join the Bellringer covenant, to defend the in-game region of Luna Belfry. Part of the equipment for joining the covenant is a ring that will automatically summon the player to defend the bell from other players if they are in a region near the bell.
